Next week is Oxford Science Adventures! This half term, we'll be reflecting on all that our brains do for us, and penning some poems about the pink wrinkly stuff in our heads. We'll be working on brain-themed haikus and neuroscience-based acrostic poems, as well as assembling brain puzzles and hunting for brains around the department.
Hannah's dad is a poetical soul, and when I (Hannah) told him what we'd be doing next week, he wrote us this poem. Thanks, Dad!

When my grey matter has one of its lapses,
And I can’t seem to spark my synapses,
To get back in commission,
With my neurotransmission,
I tend to take one or two napses.
